Booking and quotations
How do I get a quotation?
Book a site visit with the form on any page, or call +971 58 656 3001. A supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and a written quotation follows, usually the same day as the visit.
How quickly can you attend?
Urgent work in Dubai is attended within two hours. Planned work is normally scheduled within 48 hours. Crews and the office work 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
Can I book for the same day?
Often, yes. Urgent work in Dubai is usually attended within two hours, and we tell you straight away when a crew cannot reach you that day.
Do I need to be at home during the work?
No. Many clients hand over access and receive the photographs and the signed sheet when the job is finished. For large homes the supervisor coordinates with your house manager.
Quotations and payment
How much does deep cleaning cost in Dubai?
It depends on the size and condition of the home and on what is included, which is why The MELLS does not publish a price list. Book a site visit: a supervisor looks at the property and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before any work begins.
How much does it cost to paint a home in Dubai?
It depends on the wall area, the condition of the surface and the paint system chosen. We measure the property, test the existing paint and name the paint system in a written quotation, so the figure in your quotation is the figure you pay.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Because two homes of the same size can need very different work. A site visit lets us quote for your property as it is. Your written quotation sets the figure against a defined scope, and work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts.
How can I pay?
By card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Google Pay, and in instalments through Tabby or Tamara.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked time.
Deep cleaning
What is the difference between deep cleaning and regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning keeps visible surfaces tidy. Deep cleaning removes the build up that regular cleaning cannot reach, including grease behind appliances, limescale on glass and chrome, dust on high ledges and inside cabinets, and sand packed into window tracks. It uses machines, specialist chemistry and a larger supervised crew.
How often should a home in Dubai be deep cleaned?
Twice a year suits most homes in Dubai. Homes near the coast, near construction or with pets, young children or allergy sufferers benefit from a deep clean every three to four months.
Do you bring your own equipment and products?
Yes. The crew arrives with machines, HEPA vacuums, steam units, microfibre and all products. We only need water and electricity at the property.
Painting
Do we need to move out while you paint?
No. We work room by room with low odour water based paints, and bedrooms are usable again the same night.
How many coats do you apply?
A primer or sealer where the surface needs it, then two finish coats. Strong colour changes may need a third coat, which is stated in the quotation.
Which paint brands do you use?
We apply the paint system named in your quotation. Most clients choose premium washable emulsions from the major brands stocked in Dubai, and we are happy to work with paints specified by your designer.
Quality and the team
Are your cleaners and painters employed by The MELLS?
Yes. Every cleaner, painter and technician is recruited, trained, vetted and employed by The MELLS. Nothing is subcontracted.
What happens if I am not satisfied with the work?
Every job is signed off against the 14 Point Standard. If any point fails, tell us within 48 hours and we return and put it right free of charge.
Are your technicians background checked?
Yes. Every technician is background checked and trained before attending a property, and supervised on site.
