What is included
Supply and installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi split air conditioning for Abu Dhabi homes, offices and shops, sized to the room and tested at handover. Most cooling complaints in Abu Dhabi trace back to the day the unit was fitted: a pipe run too long or kinked, lines never vacuumed, a drain with no fall. Our own technicians check the room load and the power supply first, fit the unit to the manufacturer's instructions and record the temperatures on a test run. We fit a unit we supply or one you bought, and say so plainly if it is the wrong size for the room.
- Room load and breaker size checked before the unit is chosen
- Indoor back plate fixed level on solid fixings, clear of the ceiling
- Core hole drilled with a slight fall to the outside and sleeved
- Lines vacuumed on a gauge and leak tested before the valves open
How we carry out split AC installation
The back plate goes on the wall first, level and clear of the ceiling so air can reach the top intake. A core hole is drilled behind it with a slight fall outward. Outside, the condenser sits on a wall bracket or a pad with rubber mounts. The copper pipes are flared, tightened with a torque spanner and wrapped in insulation along the full run with the drain and the cable. A vacuum pump then pulls the lines down, the gauge is watched to see that it holds, and only then are the service valves opened.
Poor cooling from a new split unit nearly always comes from the pipework: a run longer than the maker allows, a kink behind the unit, or lines that were never vacuumed, which leaves moisture to attack the compressor. Abu Dhabi adds its own trouble. A condenser boxed into a hot balcony corner breathes its own exhaust and trips on high pressure in August. The site visit measures the run, looks at where the outdoor unit can breathe and confirms the supply can carry it.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.
Split AC Installation in Corniche Road: what we plan for
The residential stretch of Corniche Road is a line of apartment towers facing the beach and the open sea, from Etihad Towers and Nation Towers at the western end to buildings such as Al Reef Tower, Bel Ghailam Tower, Wave Tower and Saraya One further along. Homes run from studios to large penthouses, many with full height glazing and balconies over the water.
Wind off the Gulf carries salt and fine sand straight onto Corniche facades and balconies. Glass loses its clarity within a week, aluminium frames pit, and balcony drains clog with sand. Upper floors catch strong wind, so sliding doors and their seals wear faster and let dust through. Most Corniche towers supply chilled water to fan coil units in each apartment. Coils, trays and filters are cleaned, drain lines flushed and the thermostat checked, so the unit stops dripping onto ceilings and smelling stale.
Every tower on the Corniche needs a work permit from building management and a booked service lift before work starts. Parking for service vans is limited, so loading times are agreed with the building. These rules are identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork the building asks for.

Questions about split AC installation in Corniche Road
What does split AC installation include?
A wall mounted indoor unit and an outdoor condenser are joined by insulated copper pipe through one core hole, then the lines are vacuumed, leak tested and run on test. The work includes room load and breaker size checked before the unit is chosen; indoor back plate fixed level on solid fixings, clear of the ceiling; core hole drilled with a slight fall to the outside and sleeved.
How long can the pipe run be?
Each model has a maximum length and a maximum height difference set by its maker, and going past either costs cooling and strains the compressor. Short and direct is always better. We measure the route at the site visit and choose a unit that suits it.
Where is the best place for the indoor unit?
High on a wall where the air can throw down the length of the room, not straight onto a bed or a desk, and close to an outside wall so the pipe run is short and the drain falls all the way. Tight into a corner or above a tall wardrobe works badly, because the returning air is blocked.
How much does split AC installation cost in Corniche Road?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides split AC installation in Corniche Road?
The MELLS provides split AC installation in Corniche Road, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does split AC installation take?
Typically half a day for one split unit, longer for ducted systems. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Do you install air conditioners in Corniche Road?
Yes. Our own technicians install split, ducted, cassette and multi split systems across Abu Dhabi. A site visit comes first, to check the room, the power supply and where the outdoor unit can go, and the scope is then put in writing.
Can you install a unit I have already bought?
Yes. We fit units supplied by us or by you. If the one you have bought is the wrong size for the room we tell you before it goes on the wall. An oversized unit cools fast but leaves the air damp, and an undersized one runs all day without reaching the set temperature.
What size of air conditioner does my room need?
Capacity follows the heat the room gains, not only its floor area. Glazing that faces the afternoon sun, ceiling height, a roof directly above, the number of people and any kitchen or equipment all add load. We measure and work it out at the site visit.
Do you arrange the building permit in Corniche Road?
Yes. Most buildings ask contractors for a work permit, trade licence, insurance and staff IDs, and a service lift booking. We submit all of it for you.
What days do you work on the Corniche?
Corniche appointments run Monday to Saturday between 08:00 and 19:00, subject to the building's own permitted hours for contractors, which we confirm before booking.
How do I choose a company for split AC installation in Corniche Road?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Corniche Road arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
