What is included

How we carry out smart thermostat installation
Compatibility comes first. We remove the old controller, photograph the terminals and identify the system: a ducted split with its own control board, a chilled water fan coil with a valve and a three speed fan, or a VRF unit that accepts only its maker's control. The thermostat is chosen from that. Power is isolated, the wires are moved across terminal by terminal, and the plate is fixed level over the old box. The thermostat is then joined to the wifi, set up in the app and run through cooling, fan speeds and off.
Most thermostats sold online are built for low voltage systems, while many Dubai apartments have fan coil controllers that switch mains voltage. Wiring one to the other destroys the thermostat and can damage the fan coil. Wall mounted split units with a handheld remote do not take a wall thermostat at all and need an infrared controller instead.
