What is included
A ducted AC is only as good as the ductwork hidden above the ceiling. Ducts that are too small are noisy and starve the far rooms, and in Abu Dhabi humidity any gap in the insulation sweats and drips onto the ceiling below. Our own technicians work out the airflow each room needs, then fabricate, hang, seal and insulate the ducts and balance the system before handover.
- Site survey of the AC unit, the ceiling void and the existing duct routes
- Duct sizes worked out from the airflow each room needs
- Supply and return ducts in galvanised steel sheet or pre insulated panel
- Joints sealed with duct sealant and foil tape
- Insulation with a continuous vapour barrier
- Short flexible connections to each diffuser, supported so they cannot sag
- Volume dampers, grilles and diffusers fitted and set
- Airflow balanced room by room and joints checked for leaks
- Checked against our 14 Point Standard, with photographs before and after
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.
AC Ducting & Duct Installation in Faya: what we plan for
Faya is a cluster of three and four bedroom townhouses within the original Bloom Gardens, with private gardens and car ports. We protect the stairs and landings on the way in, work in the one area and leave the rest of the house undisturbed.
Courtyard humidity loads AC coils and drain pans, so these are cleaned at each service. Water heaters are descaled and pressure valves tested.
Entry is through a staffed gate, and the resident registers the crew and vehicle beforehand. Work on the outside of a home may need the community's consent. That is identified at the site visit and we prepare the paperwork requested.

Questions about AC ducting & duct installation in Faya
What does AC ducting & duct installation include?
AC ducting sized, fabricated and installed for villas, apartments, offices, shops and restaurants, with joints sealed, ducts insulated and airflow balanced. The work includes site survey of the AC unit, the ceiling void and the existing duct routes; duct sizes worked out from the airflow each room needs; supply and return ducts in galvanised steel sheet or pre insulated panel.
How much does AC ducting & duct installation cost in Faya, Bloom Gardens?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides AC ducting & duct installation in Faya, Bloom Gardens?
The MELLS provides AC ducting & duct installation in Faya, Bloom Gardens, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does AC ducting & duct installation take?
Typically one to three days for most villas and fit out units. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Why are some rooms colder than others?
The far rooms are usually short of air. The ducts may be undersized, a flexible duct may be crushed, or the branches may have no dampers. We measure the airflow at each outlet, correct the duct and balance the system.
Which is better, galvanised steel or pre insulated duct?
Both work well when they are installed properly. Steel is stronger and suits long main runs, plant rooms and exposed ducts. Pre insulated panel is lighter and suits homes with shallow voids. We recommend one after seeing the site.
Does the building need to agree to duct changes?
In towers and malls, changes to the ducts, fire dampers or fresh air system are coordinated with building management. What the building asks for is identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork.
How do your crews get access to Faya, Bloom Gardens?
Entry is through a staffed gate, and the resident registers the crew and vehicle beforehand. Work on the outside of a home may need the community's consent. That is identified at the site visit and we prepare the paperwork requested.
Do you work in the Aldhay townhouses?
Yes. Crews are registered at the gate by the resident, and visits run Monday to Saturday, 08:00 to 19:00, by appointment after a site visit.
How do I choose a company for AC ducting & duct installation in Faya, Bloom Gardens?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Faya, Bloom Gardens arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
