What is included
Light fixture cleaning for pendants, wall lights, lamps, downlights, LED coves and ceiling fans, with the power isolated and each finish cleaned to suit. AC airflow leaves dust on top of every shade and fan blade, and office diffusers fill with dead insects that show as dark spots once the lights are on. Power is isolated and lamps left to cool before anything is touched. Glass is washed by hand, and brass, gilt and matt black are each wiped with a product chosen for that finish.

How we carry out light diffuser and panel cleaning
In many office ceilings the LED panels or diffusers show a row of dark specks along one edge. Those are dead insects, drawn in by the light and trapped in the housing, along with the fine dust the AC pushes into the ceiling void. The lighting circuit is isolated and the switch tagged before any cover is opened. Clip in and hinged diffusers are lowered from a platform ladder, the inside of the housing is vacuumed with a soft brush head, and the reflector is wiped with a barely damp microfibre cloth.
Plastic and acrylic diffusers are taken to a sink or a wash station set up on site, washed in warm water with a mild detergent and rinsed. Solvents and strong cleaners are kept away, since they craze acrylic and yellow it. Each cover is dried completely before it goes back, because water left inside a fitting is a fault waiting to happen. In offices the work is planned floor by floor on a Saturday or another quiet time agreed with the office manager, within our hours of 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.

Will cleaning damage brass or lacquered finishes?
Lacquered brass gets a soft dry cloth and a little pH neutral cleaner only, because metal polish strips the lacquer. Unlacquered brass, gilt and matt black each have their own treatment, tried first on a hidden part of the fitting.
