What is included
Light fixing and lighting installation for homes, offices and shops, from one replaced fitting to downlights, LED strip, pendants and outdoor lights. Most lighting faults in Dubai trace back to a fitting screwed into gypsum board alone, a driver with no headroom, or a joint that humidity has reached. Our own technicians isolate the circuit at the distribution board, prove it dead with a tester and work to the manufacturer's instructions. Any approval the building or the community asks for is identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork.
- Height and spacing marked on the wall and agreed first
- Wall scanned for pipes and cables before any drilling
- Cable routed in conduit, a chase or behind joinery
- Back plate fixed level and the paint touched up around it
How we carry out wall light installation
Positions are marked with tape so you can judge them from the bed, the sofa or the corridor before anything is drilled. The wall is scanned for pipes and existing cables. If a conduit already reaches the spot, the new cable is pulled through it. If not, a narrow chase is cut in the plaster, conduit is laid, and the chase is filled, sanded and painted. On block walls the back plate takes plugs and screws. On gypsum partitions it goes into a stud or a timber backing put in for the purpose.
Wall lights fixed to partition board alone work loose, tilt forward and leave a ring of cracked paint. Lights set too high beside a bed glare straight at the pillow. Many internal walls in Dubai apartments are lightweight block or gypsum, and tower rules can limit chasing in some of them, so the route is settled first. The site visit confirms the wall type, where the feed will come from and how much decoration will need touching up.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.
Wall Light Installation in Al Rashidiya: what we plan for
This is an established district of private villas on open streets, many of them built twenty years ago or more. In a villa this can be booked on its own or added to a full deep clean or repaint, which saves a second visit.
In villas of this age the AC ducts, drain lines, water heaters, pumps and rooftop tanks are usually due for attention. We inspect first and report what is urgent and what can wait.
Most streets are open, with no community gate, and we park at the villa. Apartment communities such as Ghoroob, Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Hills need a work permit from building management, which we arrange.

Questions about wall light installation in Al Rashidiya
What does wall light installation include?
Wall lights are fixed to solid wall or a backing plate at an agreed height, with the cable chased in or pulled through an existing conduit and the wall made good. The work includes height and spacing marked on the wall and agreed first; wall scanned for pipes and cables before any drilling; cable routed in conduit, a chase or behind joinery.
Do wall lights always mean cutting into the wall?
No. Where a conduit, a ceiling void or a run behind wardrobes gives a route, the wall stays whole. A plug in wall light with a surface cable is another option for rented homes. Chasing is the last choice, and the quotation says where it is needed.
What height should bedside wall lights be?
Roughly shoulder height when you sit up in bed, so the light falls on a book and the lamp stays out of your eyes. We mark the spot with you sitting where you read before the back plate goes on.
How much does wall light installation cost in Al Rashidiya, Dubai?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides wall light installation in Al Rashidiya, Dubai?
The MELLS provides wall light installation in Al Rashidiya, Dubai. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does wall light installation take?
Typically 1 to 3 hours for a few fittings, longer for whole rooms. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Can a heavy chandelier hang from a gypsum ceiling?
Not from the board itself. The weight has to go to the slab or a joist through a fixing rated for the load, with the gypsum only covering it. We open a small access above the position, set the anchor and close the ceiling around the rose.
Is a permit needed for lighting work in a tower or mall in Al Rashidiya, Dubai?
Towers and malls normally ask for a work permit, and a retail unit has to follow the landlord fit out guide. We identify what applies at the site visit and prepare the paperwork the building or the landlord asks for.
Should every light in a room be the same colour?
Within one room, yes. Warm white suits living rooms and bedrooms, and neutral white suits kitchens and work areas. Two whites on one ceiling look patchy, so we read the colour temperature printed on each lamp before it is fitted.
How do your crews get access to Al Rashidiya, Dubai?
Most streets are open, with no community gate, and we park at the villa. Apartment communities such as Ghoroob, Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Hills need a work permit from building management, which we arrange.
Do you work in older villas in Mirdif?
Yes. Much of our work in Mirdif, Al Warqa and Al Mizhar is in villas twenty years old or more, where the supervisor checks ducts, tanks, roofs and bathrooms at the site visit and writes what was found into the quotation.
How do I choose a company for wall light installation in Al Rashidiya, Dubai?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
Can you come to Al Rashidiya, Dubai at short notice?
Yes. Crews travel from our Barsha Heights base, and urgent work in Dubai is attended within two hours between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
