What is included
Mattress extraction and sanitisation that removes dust mites and allergens, measured dry before we leave. A mattress collects skin cells, sweat and dust mites that a sheet cannot stop. We extract both sides, treat stains and odours, sanitise with steam and confirm the mattress is dry enough to sleep on the same night.
- Fibre and label checked for each piece
- Knits and cashmere cleaned cool and gently, never stretched
- Faux fur and sherpa cleaned so the pile stays soft
- Dried flat or with airflow, then folded and returned
How we carry out blanket and throw cleaning
Throws on the sofa and blankets at the foot of the bed are handled every day, used by children and pets and dropped on the floor, and they are often the most delicate textiles in the room. Chunky knits stretch out of shape if they are washed and hung wet, cashmere felts with heat and rubbing, and faux fur mats if it is tumbled hot. So each piece is checked for its fibre and label before anything else.
Washable blankets are washed cool and gently at our workshop; knits and cashmere are washed by hand or with a wool safe method and dried flat to keep their size. Faux fur and sherpa are cleaned without heat and brushed so the pile stays soft. Bedspreads and quilted throws are cleaned to their labels. Everything is dried right through, folded and returned, often together with sofa and cushion cleaning.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.
Blanket and Throw Cleaning in Maeen, The Lakes: what we plan for
The Lakes is a lakeside community of villas and townhouses arranged in small gated clusters. We work room by room, protect the floors and furniture around the work area and leave the rest of the house undisturbed.
Golf course and lakeside irrigation keeps ground level humidity higher than the city average, and sprinkler overspray marks boundary walls and glass with mineral deposits. Mature gardens add leaf litter and pollen, and many homes have large areas of natural stone that need the right chemistry.
Entry is through security gates and contractors are registered in advance by the resident. Exterior work normally needs approval from community management, and working hours are restricted to protect residents.

What does blanket and throw cleaning include?

The work includes fibre and label checked for each piece; knits and cashmere cleaned cool and gently, never stretched; faux fur and sherpa cleaned so the pile stays soft.
Can a chunky knit throw be washed?
Yes, gently and cool, then dried flat. Hanging a wet knit stretches it out of shape.
Will my faux fur blanket stay soft?
