What is included
Kitchen, hood and front of house deep cleaning for restaurants, worked between services. Commercial kitchens are cleaned so they are ready for inspection and safe to work in. We degrease equipment, hoods and floors, and return the kitchen ready for the next service.
- Handback list from the landlord walked through line by line
- Kitchen walls, floors and gullies degreased once equipment is out
- Fixings, tape, adhesive and signage marks removed
- Photographs of every area supplied for the handover file
How we carry out restaurant handover and closing down cleaning
We ask for the reinstatement or handback list first and walk the unit against it. Once the equipment has been removed by the operator or the buyer, the grease that sat behind and beneath it is scraped up, and the walls, floor and gullies are degreased and flushed. Canopy surfaces and filters are cleaned if they are staying. Tape, adhesive and signage marks are taken off. Front of house, the floors are machine scrubbed, the glass is squeegeed and the washrooms are descaled. Each area is photographed for the file.
Years of grease under a cooking line come as a surprise when the equipment is lifted out, and landlords look exactly there. Greasy floors, a full grease trap or stained ceiling tiles can hold up the return of a deposit or the release of a unit. In Abu Dhabi malls and towers the handback often comes with a set inspection date, limited contractor hours and a fixed waste removal route. At the site visit we read the list with you, mark what is cleaning and what is repair, and plan the work back from the inspection date.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site survey and method statement. We walk the premises with your facilities contact, record areas, finishes and access rules, and issue a written method statement and risk assessment.
- Schedule around your operation. Work is planned for early mornings, evenings or overnight so staff, customers and tenants are not disturbed.
- Supervised crews with checklists. A named supervisor runs the same uniformed crew each visit against a room by room checklist.
- Audit and reporting. Each visit is photographed. Retained contracts receive a monthly report covering attendance, audits and any corrective actions.
Restaurant Handover and Closing Down Cleaning in Al Maqtaa: what we plan for
Al Maqtaa and Bain Al Jessrain take their name from the stretch of mainland between the Maqta and Mussafah bridges, along Khor Al Maqta. Qaryat Al Beri holds the Shangri La Residences and The Souk, while the streets behind are lined with large private villas of four to seven bedrooms, many near embassies and government offices, alongside gated compounds such as Urban Oasis.
The creek and the mangroves keep humidity high along the shore, and waterfront homes see mineral spotting on glass and corrosion on metal railings. Further inland the villas collect sand from open plots, and the hard water scales heaters and shower glass. Shops and restaurants at The Souk, and offices in converted villas, are cleaned around their trading hours with the centre's permit.
Shangri La Residences need clearance through building management, with lift and loading bay times agreed. Private villas are reached directly, and compounds register the crew at the gate. Any outside work that needs consent is identified at the site visit.

Questions about restaurant handover and closing down cleaning in Al Maqtaa
What does restaurant handover and closing down cleaning include?
When a restaurant closes or a lease ends, the unit is cleaned to the reinstatement or handback list from the landlord, from the extract canopy to the floor gullies. The work includes handback list from the landlord walked through line by line; kitchen walls, floors and gullies degreased once equipment is out; fixings, tape, adhesive and signage marks removed.
Do you remove the kitchen equipment and furniture as well?
We clean, we do not dismantle or cart away equipment. Disconnection of gas, power and water and the removal itself are arranged by the operator, the buyer or a removal contractor. We come in once the unit is clear, or work around items that stay.
What if the landlord rejects something at the handback inspection?
If the item relates to our cleaning, we return and put it right under our 14 Point Standard. Items that are repairs or reinstatement, such as damaged tiles, holes in walls or removed partitions, sit outside a cleaning scope and are noted as such at the start.

We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: floor area and the mix of finishes; visit frequency and working hours. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
