What is included
Wallpaper fixing for homes, offices and shops, with walls prepared, patterns matched and seams closed by our own decorators. Wallpaper fails in Dubai when it is hung on dusty, unprimed or damp walls, or when the AC is off for the summer and humidity lifts the seams. We check the wall for moisture, repair and prime it, then hang the paper with the adhesive its manufacturer specifies.

How we carry out wallpaper cleaning
Wallpaper cleaning starts with knowing what is on the wall. Washable vinyl takes a damp wipe. Uncoated paper, grasscloth and flocked papers do not, because water stains them, lifts the print or loosens the paste at the seams. The supervisor checks the type, often from a spare roll if one was kept, and tests the method on a patch hidden behind a wardrobe or a door. In Dubai homes the dust is fine and turns greasy near kitchens, and fingerprints gather around light switches, door frames and stair walls.
Loose dust comes off first with a vacuum fitted with a soft brush, working from the cornice down so nothing falls on cleaned paper. On paper and textured finishes a dry chemical sponge lifts the grey film without water. Vinyl is wiped with microfibre barely damp with a mild, pH neutral solution and dried straight away with a second cloth. Seams and edges are kept as dry as possible, since water drawn into a seam is what makes paper lift. Stains that resist a gentle method are left and shown to you.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey, colour and written scope. We measure, test the existing coating and agree colours, sheen and the number of coats. The written quotation names the paint system and the scope.
- Protection. Furniture is moved and wrapped, floors are covered edge to edge, and switches, handles and light fittings are masked or removed.
- Surface preparation. Walls are washed, flaking paint is scraped back, cracks are opened and filled, and everything is sanded flat. Damp or salt affected areas are treated before any paint goes on.
- Primer and finish coats. A sealer or primer suited to the substrate is followed by two finish coats. Wet film thickness is checked on every coat.
- Snagging and handover. We inspect in daylight with you, touch up, clean down and hand over a paint schedule listing brand, colour codes and batch numbers for future touch ups.

In most cases. We soften the adhesive with steam or a stripping solution and lift the paper in sections. Where the wall was never primed, some skim can come away with it, and we make that good before the next finish.
