What is included
Supply and installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi split air conditioning for Abu Dhabi homes, offices and shops, sized to the room and tested at handover. Most cooling complaints in Abu Dhabi trace back to the day the unit was fitted: a pipe run too long or kinked, lines never vacuumed, a drain with no fall. Our own technicians check the room load and the power supply first, fit the unit to the manufacturer's instructions and record the temperatures on a test run. We fit a unit we supply or one you bought, and say so plainly if it is the wrong size for the room.
- Unit run and checked for faults before it is taken down
- Refrigerant pumped down and both service valves closed
- New pipe, insulation, cable and drain run to the new position
- Old core hole filled and the wall made good
How we carry out AC relocation
The unit is run first, so any existing fault is known before it is moved. With the compressor running, the liquid valve is closed and the refrigerant is drawn back into the outdoor unit, then the suction valve is shut. The pipes are disconnected and the open ports capped straight away to keep moisture out. At the new position the unit is mounted as a new installation, normally on new copper cut to length. The lines are vacuumed and leak tested, and refrigerant is added by weight if the run is longer than before.
Old pipes bent a second time tend to crack or flatten at the bends, and a unit left open to humid Abu Dhabi air for a day takes in moisture that later freezes inside the system. Moving between apartments brings another check: the new building may be on chilled water, or may not allow an outdoor unit where you hoped. The site visit covers both ends of the move, the new pipe route and whether a unit of that age is worth moving at all.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.
AC Relocation in Embassies District: what we plan for
The Embassies District, also known as Al Safarat or the Diplomatic Area, lies off Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street towards Al Bateen Executive Airport. Most plots hold embassy buildings and diplomatic residences behind high walls, alongside low and mid rise apartment buildings, with the Rawdhat apartment blocks along the Airport Road side.
Wide roads and open plots let fine sand blow into gardens and across terraces. Embassy buildings and residences often have large stone or tiled entrance areas that show every footprint, and irrigation leaves mineral marks on boundary walls. Residences here usually run ducted AC, pumps and backup water storage. Servicing follows a schedule agreed with the facilities manager, and anything outside our scope is reported to them.
Access to embassy premises and diplomatic residences follows the site's own security procedure, confirmed at the site visit, and staff details are sent in advance for clearance. Apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking, and we prepare the paperwork asked for.
What your quotation depends on
A quotation for AC relocation in Embassies District follows a site visit. The supervisor looks at the points listed here and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before any work begins. Once you accept it, nothing is added on the day.
- Size and type of the system or surface
- Present condition and ease of access
- Parts and materials specified
- One visit or a retained contract

Questions about AC relocation in Embassies District
What does AC relocation include?
To move an air conditioner the refrigerant is pumped down into the outdoor unit, both halves are disconnected and capped, and the unit is refitted on a new pipe run. The work includes unit run and checked for faults before it is taken down; refrigerant pumped down and both service valves closed; new pipe, insulation, cable and drain run to the new position.
Can I take my split AC with me when I move home?
Yes, if the new home can take a split unit. We remove it, carry it capped and upright, and fit it at the new address. Ask the landlord and the building first, since towers on chilled water cannot accept it.
Will the unit lose gas when it is moved?
Not if it is pumped down properly, because the charge is held in the outdoor unit behind two closed valves. A small amount is weighed in only where the new pipe run is longer than the length the factory charge covers.
How much does AC relocation cost in Embassies District?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides AC relocation in Embassies District?
The MELLS provides AC relocation in Embassies District, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does AC relocation take?
Typically half a day for one split unit, longer for ducted systems. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Do you install air conditioners in Embassies District?
Yes. Our own technicians install split, ducted, cassette and multi split systems across Abu Dhabi. A site visit comes first, to check the room, the power supply and where the outdoor unit can go, and the scope is then put in writing.
Can you install a unit I have already bought?
Yes. We fit units supplied by us or by you. If the one you have bought is the wrong size for the room we tell you before it goes on the wall. An oversized unit cools fast but leaves the air damp, and an undersized one runs all day without reaching the set temperature.
What size of air conditioner does my room need?
Capacity follows the heat the room gains, not only its floor area. Glazing that faces the afternoon sun, ceiling height, a roof directly above, the number of people and any kitchen or equipment all add load. We measure and work it out at the site visit.
How do your crews get access to Embassies District?
Access to embassy premises and diplomatic residences follows the site's own security procedure, confirmed at the site visit, and staff details are sent in advance for clearance. Apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking, and we prepare the paperwork asked for.
Do you clean diplomatic residences between postings?
Yes. A handover clean covers the whole house, from AC grilles and kitchen extractors to wardrobes and outdoor areas, with the scope agreed with the house or facilities manager at the site visit.
How do I choose a company for AC relocation in Embassies District?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Embassies District arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
