What is included
Supply and installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi split air conditioning for Abu Dhabi homes, offices and shops, sized to the room and tested at handover. Most cooling complaints in Abu Dhabi trace back to the day the unit was fitted: a pipe run too long or kinked, lines never vacuumed, a drain with no fall. Our own technicians check the room load and the power supply first, fit the unit to the manufacturer's instructions and record the temperatures on a test run. We fit a unit we supply or one you bought, and say so plainly if it is the wrong size for the room.
- Reason the old unit failed found before a new one is chosen
- Refrigerant recovered into a cylinder, not released
- Existing pipes checked for size, condition and cleanliness
- New unit vacuumed, leak tested and run with readings taken
How we carry out AC replacement
Replacement starts with the reason the old unit failed. If the compressor burned out, the pipes carry acid and are renewed. The refrigerant is drawn into a cylinder with a recovery machine, the electrical supply is isolated and both units come down. Where the old copper is the right diameter, sound and clean inside, it can be reused after a nitrogen purge. Otherwise new insulated pipe is run. The new unit is then mounted, connected, vacuumed, leak tested and run on test exactly like a first installation.
Fitting a new unit onto old pipes without checking them is the most common false economy. A wrong pipe size, old oil left in the line or a hidden kink will shorten the life of the new compressor. Long Abu Dhabi summers also expose a unit that was undersized from the start, so we work out the room load again instead of copying the old nameplate. The site visit looks at the pipe route, the drain, the bracket, the breaker and how the old units will be carried out of the building.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.
AC Replacement in Embassies District: what we plan for
The Embassies District, also known as Al Safarat or the Diplomatic Area, lies off Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street towards Al Bateen Executive Airport. Most plots hold embassy buildings and diplomatic residences behind high walls, alongside low and mid rise apartment buildings, with the Rawdhat apartment blocks along the Airport Road side.
Wide roads and open plots let fine sand blow into gardens and across terraces. Embassy buildings and residences often have large stone or tiled entrance areas that show every footprint, and irrigation leaves mineral marks on boundary walls. Residences here usually run ducted AC, pumps and backup water storage. Servicing follows a schedule agreed with the facilities manager, and anything outside our scope is reported to them.
Access to embassy premises and diplomatic residences follows the site's own security procedure, confirmed at the site visit, and staff details are sent in advance for clearance. Apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking, and we prepare the paperwork asked for.
What your quotation depends on
A quotation for AC replacement in Embassies District follows a site visit. The supervisor looks at the points listed here and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before any work begins. Once you accept it, nothing is added on the day.
- Size and type of the system or surface
- Present condition and ease of access
- Parts and materials specified
- One visit or a retained contract

Questions about AC replacement in Embassies District
What does AC replacement include?
The refrigerant is recovered from the old unit, both halves are removed, and a new unit of the right capacity is fitted on new or proven pipework, vacuumed and tested. The work includes reason the old unit failed found before a new one is chosen; refrigerant recovered into a cylinder, not released; existing pipes checked for size, condition and cleanliness.
Can the existing copper pipes be reused?
Sometimes. They must be the diameter the new unit needs, free of kinks and corrosion, and clean inside. After a compressor burnout, or where the old system ran on a different refrigerant and oil, we recommend new pipe and say so in the quotation.
Should I repair or replace an old air conditioner?
Repair makes sense when the fault is a fan motor, a capacitor or a small leak on a sound unit. Replacement is usually the better answer once the compressor has failed, the coil has corroded through or the refrigerant it runs on has become hard to obtain.
How much does AC replacement cost in Embassies District?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides AC replacement in Embassies District?
The MELLS provides AC replacement in Embassies District, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does AC replacement take?
Typically half a day for one split unit, longer for ducted systems. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Do you install air conditioners in Embassies District?
Yes. Our own technicians install split, ducted, cassette and multi split systems across Abu Dhabi. A site visit comes first, to check the room, the power supply and where the outdoor unit can go, and the scope is then put in writing.
Can you install a unit I have already bought?
Yes. We fit units supplied by us or by you. If the one you have bought is the wrong size for the room we tell you before it goes on the wall. An oversized unit cools fast but leaves the air damp, and an undersized one runs all day without reaching the set temperature.
What size of air conditioner does my room need?
Capacity follows the heat the room gains, not only its floor area. Glazing that faces the afternoon sun, ceiling height, a roof directly above, the number of people and any kitchen or equipment all add load. We measure and work it out at the site visit.
How do your crews get access to Embassies District?
Access to embassy premises and diplomatic residences follows the site's own security procedure, confirmed at the site visit, and staff details are sent in advance for clearance. Apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking, and we prepare the paperwork asked for.
Can your team work inside an embassy building?
Yes, by appointment and only under the mission's own security procedure. Staff names and ID details are submitted in advance, and the supervisor follows the escort and room access rules set by the facilities manager.
How do I choose a company for AC replacement in Embassies District?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Embassies District arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
