This is an established district of private villas on open streets, many of them built twenty years ago or more. A typical villa takes a crew of four to six. We begin on the top floor and work down to the garage and terraces, handing each floor back as it is finished.

In the city centre, fine dust and water marks on glass are constant. We clean grilles, ledges and glazing with particular care. Older Mirdif villas often have a separate majlis, an outside kitchen, staff rooms and a roof with water tanks. We work top floor first, descale bathrooms that have seen years of hard water, degrease both kitchens and wash down the yard, the car porch and the boundary walls.

In city towers the main concerns are permits, quiet hours and odour. We plan for all three. Villas of this age commonly show hairline cracks, damp patches near bathrooms and roofs, and exterior paint faded by the sun. Cracks are opened and filled, damp is traced to its source before any paint goes on, and exteriors are repainted in the cooler months.

Most streets are open, with no community gate, and we park at the villa. Apartment communities such as Ghoroob, Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Hills need a work permit from building management, which we arrange.
