What is included
Curtains steamed on their tracks and blinds cleaned slat by slat, without the cost and risk of taking them down. Curtains filter the dust that comes through every window and balcony door. We clean them where they hang, so there is no shrinkage, no rehanging and no bare windows.

How we carry out curtain steaming and pressing
Creases come out when the fibre is warmed, relaxed and then allowed to cool in the position it should keep. On the track, the steamer head is passed down the drop from the heading with the fabric held under light tension from the hem, and the curtain is left drawn in even folds until it cools. Fabrics that mark with water are steamed from the lining side. Deep fold lines from packing or storage, and hems that have curled, need a press on a padded table, which is done off site before rehanging.
Steam used carelessly causes its own damage. Too much of it on viscose or silk leaves water spots, a head pressed against velvet crushes the pile, and wet steam on a buckram heading softens the stiffener so pleats sag. In a humid Abu Dhabi summer, curtains steamed in a room with the AC off stay damp and crease again as they dry. The site visit identifies the fibre and the heading, and checks if the creasing is from storage or from shrinkage, since puckered seams caused by shrinkage will not steam flat.
How it works
