What is included
Curtains steamed on their tracks and blinds cleaned slat by slat, without the cost and risk of taking them down. Curtains filter the dust that comes through every window and balcony door. We clean them where they hang, so there is no shrinkage, no rehanging and no bare windows.
- Carrier cord and snap tape checked before cleaning starts
- Each wave opened by hand and vacuumed along the fold
- Steamed and extracted on the track in vertical passes
- Folds dressed and tied back loosely until the fabric is dry
How we carry out wave and ripple fold curtain cleaning
A wave heading is a flat tape with snap studs or pockets that click onto carriers linked by a cord, and the cord length sets the depth of every fold. Because the curtain stacks into regular curves, dust settles in bands down the outward faces. Each wave is opened by hand and vacuumed with a soft brush, then the fabric is steamed and extracted in vertical passes from the heading to the hem. While it is still slightly damp the folds are dressed back into shape and held with loose fabric ties until dry.
Trouble starts when wave curtains are taken down by someone who does not know the system. Studs get pulled through the tape, the fabric goes back on the wrong carriers and the wave turns uneven, with one fold flat and the next too deep. Pressing a wave curtain flat after a wash also removes the memory in the cloth. At the site visit the heading type and stud spacing are recorded, the track is run end to end to find sticking carriers, and the supervisor decides if the curtains should leave the track at all.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.
Wave and Ripple Fold Curtain Cleaning in DAMAC Hills: what we plan for
DAMAC Hills is built around the Trump International Golf Club, with villa clusters such as Whitefield, Rockwood, Richmond, Brookfield and the Trump Estates, and apartment buildings including Golf Town, Golf Promenade, Carson and Loreto. A few minutes away, DAMAC Lagoons is a newer community of townhouses and villas arranged in Mediterranean themed clusters around swimming lagoons.
Fairway irrigation leaves mineral marks on glass and boundary walls of course facing homes. DAMAC Lagoons is still being completed, so construction dust settles on terraces and in AC filters every day.
Both communities are gated. Residents register our crew through the community app, and apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking.

Questions about wave and ripple fold curtain cleaning in DAMAC Hills
What does wave and ripple fold curtain cleaning include?
Wave and ripple fold curtains hang from carriers set at fixed spacing, and that spacing makes the fold. They are cleaned on the track, or unclipped with the tape left intact. The work includes carrier cord and snap tape checked before cleaning starts; each wave opened by hand and vacuumed along the fold; steamed and extracted on the track in vertical passes.
Will the waves look the same after cleaning?
They should, because the fold comes from the carrier spacing and not from pressing. Curtains cleaned on the track keep their shape, and those taken off site are rehung stud by stud in the recorded order and dressed by hand.
Why has my wave curtain gone flat in places?
A flat section nearly always means a stud has come off its carrier or the linking cord has snapped between two carriers. Both are small repairs that The MELLS handyman team can carry out when the curtains are cleaned.
How much does wave and ripple fold curtain cleaning cost in DAMAC Hills?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size of the property and number of rooms; condition, and how long since the last deep clean. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.

How often should curtains be cleaned?
Once or twice a year in Dubai, and more often near the coast or next to construction.
Do you take the curtains down?
No. They are cleaned in place, which avoids shrinkage and rehanging. Heavily soiled or lined curtains can be taken for an off site wash if needed.

Blackout linings are cleaned at low temperature. Silk and velvet are cleaned with low moisture methods after a test.

How do I choose a company for wave and ripple fold curtain cleaning in DAMAC Hills?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed.
