What is included

Curtains steamed on their tracks and blinds cleaned slat by slat, without the cost and risk of taking them down. Curtains filter the dust that comes through every window and balcony door. We clean them where they hang, so there is no shrinkage, no rehanging and no bare windows.

How we carry out post construction curtain cleaning

Construction dust is alkaline and very fine. Add water too early and gypsum or cement sets in the weave as a pale crust, so the order of work matters more than on any other curtain job. Both faces are vacuumed slowly with a HEPA machine, two or three times over, and the folds are opened by hand. Dried emulsion specks are lifted with a fingernail or a blunt spatula. Only when a white cloth wiped across the fabric comes away clean is the curtain steamed and extracted, or bagged and sent off site.

Curtains are often hung before the snagging is finished, and then a ceiling is sanded or a floor is ground in the same room. Cement dust left in fabric draws moisture from humid air and stiffens it, and grit in the track scores the gliders so they jam within weeks. Solvent paint and sealant on fabric rarely come out fully. The site visit checks which trades are still working, because cleaning curtains before the last sanding is wasted effort, and records any splashes that are likely to stay.

How it works

The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.

  1. Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
  2. Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
  3. Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
  4. Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
  5. Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.

Post Construction Curtain Cleaning in Embassies District: what we plan for

The Embassies District, also known as Al Safarat or the Diplomatic Area, lies off Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street towards Al Bateen Executive Airport. Most plots hold embassy buildings and diplomatic residences behind high walls, alongside low and mid rise apartment buildings, with the Rawdhat apartment blocks along the Airport Road side.

Wide roads and open plots let fine sand blow into gardens and across terraces. Embassy buildings and residences often have large stone or tiled entrance areas that show every footprint, and irrigation leaves mineral marks on boundary walls.

Access to embassy premises and diplomatic residences follows the site's own security procedure, confirmed at the site visit, and staff details are sent in advance for clearance. Apartment buildings need a work permit and a service lift booking, and we prepare the paperwork asked for.

What your quotation depends on

Questions about post construction curtain cleaning in Embassies District

What does post construction curtain cleaning include?

After fit out or renovation, curtains carry gypsum, cement and sanding dust that turns to paste if wetted. It is vacuumed out dry first, and only then is the fabric cleaned. The work includes dry HEPA vacuuming of both faces before any moisture; paint specks and filler splashes picked off by hand; tracks and gliders cleared of grit so they run freely.

Should curtains be cleaned before or after the final handover clean?

After the dusty trades have finished and before the last wipe of floors and sills. Vacuuming the curtains releases some dust downwards, so doing them first means the floors and ledges are only cleaned once.

Can paint splashes be removed from curtain fabric?

Dried water based emulsion often flakes off or softens enough to lift from synthetic fabric. Oil based paint, varnish and silicone bond to the fibre, and attempts to dissolve them usually take the dye as well, so those marks are reported and left.

How much does post construction curtain cleaning cost in Embassies District?
