What is included
Mould removal for villas and apartments that begins by finding the moisture source, then removes the growth and treats the surface behind it. How we carry out bedroom mould removal
A bedroom is cooled hard and kept closed for eight hours with people breathing in it, which is why it is so often the first room to show mould. The usual places are the wall behind the headboard, the back and side of a wardrobe on an external wall, the ceiling around the AC grille and the reveals of the window where the frame runs cold. We move the bed and furniture out from the walls, take moisture readings and photograph each patch. The room is sheeted at the door and the AC is switched off during the work.
Walls and reveals are HEPA vacuumed, washed with an antifungal solution and dried. The grille comes down for cleaning and the plenum behind it is checked. Soft items get as much attention as the walls: the underside of the mattress, the slats and the back of an upholstered headboard are inspected, since they sit against the cold wall. A mattress with surface spotting can be vacuumed and treated; one that is stained through or has a musty odour is better replaced, and we say so. Bedding goes through a hot wash.
