What is included

How we carry out mould inspection and testing
An inspection answers three questions: where the mould is, how wet the building fabric is, and where that moisture comes from. The supervisor walks every room with a torch and a moisture meter, moves furniture off external walls, opens wardrobes and looks behind AC grilles and access hatches. Readings are taken on walls, ceilings and skirting and marked on a plan. Air temperature and relative humidity are logged room by room, since a home held at high humidity will grow mould on walls that have no leak at all.
The report sets out each affected area with photographs, the readings, the likely cause and the repair that would stop it. It does not name the species, because nobody can do that by eye.
