What is included
AC ducting sized, fabricated and installed for villas, apartments, offices, shops and restaurants, with joints sealed, ducts insulated and airflow balanced. A ducted AC is only as good as the ductwork hidden above the ceiling. Ducts that are too small are noisy and starve the far rooms, and in Dubai humidity any gap in the insulation sweats and drips onto the ceiling below. Our own technicians work out the airflow each room needs, then fabricate, hang, seal and insulate the ducts and balance the system before handover.

How we carry out dryer vent ducting
The route from the dryer to the nearest outside wall is measured, and a core hole is drilled through the wall where there is no existing sleeve. Smooth rigid duct is fitted with the joints pointing in the direction of the airflow and sealed with foil tape. Screws are kept out of the inside of the duct, since anything that sticks into the airstream catches lint. Outside, a terminal with a gravity flap keeps sand and insects out. Then the dryer is run and the flow at the terminal is checked.
Venting a dryer into the laundry room or the ceiling void puts litres of water into the air with every load, and in a Dubai utility room that already runs humid, mould follows quickly. Long ribbed hose fills with lint, the dryer takes twice as long and the hose runs hot. In apartments a new hole through the outside wall is a matter for building management. The site visit looks at the distance to an outside wall and tells you plainly if a condenser dryer would be the better choice.

Does the building need to agree to duct changes?

Not always. Tile ceilings lift out and go back. In a gypsum ceiling we cut openings where the work is and close them afterwards, leaving access panels under the unit and at the dampers.

Which is better, galvanised steel or pre insulated duct?
Both work well when they are installed properly. Steel is stronger and suits long main runs, plant rooms and exposed ducts. Pre insulated panel is lighter and suits homes with shallow voids. We recommend one after seeing the site.
