What is included
Interior and exterior painting by our own painters, with surfaces properly prepared, furniture fully protected and wet film thickness checked on every coat. A good paint finish is mostly preparation. Dubai walls move with heat, hairline cracks open at ceiling joints, and coastal air and irrigation mark exterior walls within a few seasons. We repair and prime before we paint, apply the system named in your quotation and leave the home clean enough to move straight back into.
- Floor seating, cushions and carpets removed or wrapped in place
- Gypsum cornices and mouldings dusted, repaired and caulked
- Ceiling details brushed by hand and flat areas rolled
- Gold or metallic highlights applied last with a fine brush
How we carry out majlis painting
The majlis is usually the most decorated room in a villa, with deep gypsum cornices, coffered ceilings and wall frames. Seating and carpets are taken out or wrapped, and chandeliers are bagged. Mouldings are dusted with a soft brush, chipped edges are rebuilt in gypsum filler and open joints are caulked. Flat areas are rolled, and every profile is painted by brush so the detail is not clogged. Metallic or contrasting colours on the mouldings go on last, once the base coats have dried through.
Too much paint is the common fault. After several repaints the sharp edges of a cornice fill in and the ornament looks soft, and a roller dragged over a moulding leaves fat edges and misses. Incense and bakhoor smoke also leave a brown film on ceilings that bleeds through fresh emulsion unless it is washed and sealed. The site visit records the ceiling height for access, the condition of the plaster detail, any cracks where the cornice meets the wall and whether the existing gold work is paint or leaf.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey, colour and written scope. We measure, test the existing coating and agree colours, sheen and the number of coats. The written quotation names the paint system and the scope.
- Protection. Furniture is moved and wrapped, floors are covered edge to edge, and switches, handles and light fittings are masked or removed.
- Surface preparation. Walls are washed, flaking paint is scraped back, cracks are opened and filled, and everything is sanded flat. Damp or salt affected areas are treated before any paint goes on.
- Primer and finish coats. A sealer or primer suited to the substrate is followed by two finish coats. Wet film thickness is checked on every coat.
- Snagging and handover. We inspect in daylight with you, touch up, clean down and hand over a paint schedule listing brand, colour codes and batch numbers for future touch ups.

Questions about majlis painting in Longview, DAMAC Hills
What does majlis painting include?
A majlis is painted around its cornices, ceiling roses and wall panelling, with decorative plaster picked out by brush and carpets and floor seating lifted or fully covered first. The work includes floor seating, cushions and carpets removed or wrapped in place; gypsum cornices and mouldings dusted, repaired and caulked; ceiling details brushed by hand and flat areas rolled.
Can the chandeliers stay up during the work?
They can. Each fitting is switched off, wrapped in a dust bag and worked around from a tower or platform. Very large or fragile pieces are better lowered by an electrician first, and that is agreed at the site visit so nobody is handling crystal on the day.
How is the gold detailing on the cornice redone?
Existing metallic paint is cleaned, keyed lightly and repainted with a fine brush in a matching metallic acrylic, one profile at a time. Real leaf is a different trade and is left untouched or masked. We test a short hidden length first so you can agree the tone.
How much does majlis painting cost in Longview, DAMAC Hills?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: wall and ceiling area and ceiling height; condition of the surface and how much repair is needed.
