What is included
A complete clean of every room, surface, fitting and fixture in the home, scoped in writing and signed off against fourteen checks. Deep cleaning reaches what weekly housekeeping leaves behind: the tops of wardrobes, AC grilles, window tracks, the grease line behind the cooker and the limescale that hard water leaves on glass and chrome. A supervised crew from The MELLS works through the home in a fixed order so nothing is missed and nothing is cleaned twice.
- Fragrance free products agreed with you before the visit
- Nursery, main bedroom and AC grilles HEPA vacuumed first
- Surfaces rinsed with clean water after any cleaning product
- Work finished several days ahead so the home can be aired
How we carry out deep cleaning before a new baby
The method is the same as any deep clean, with gentler products and more rinsing. Dust is vacuumed with a HEPA machine from ceilings, grilles, wardrobe tops, curtains and the mattress in the room the baby will sleep in. Kitchens and bathrooms are degreased and descaled as usual, then every surface is wiped again with clean water so no residue stays behind. New nursery furniture is wiped down inside and out. Floors are scrubbed with a pH neutral cleaner and left to dry with the windows open where the weather allows.
Parents often book this too late. A home cleaned the day before the hospital bag is packed still smells of product, and there is no time to air it. We suggest finishing at least a few days ahead, and earlier if painting or new furniture is also planned, since those give off their own odour. We make no health claims for the clean. At the site visit we agree the product list, ask about anything your doctor has advised you to avoid, and note which rooms matter most.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.
Deep Cleaning Before a New Baby in Al Mushrif: what we plan for
Al Mushrif is a long established villa district in the centre of Abu Dhabi island, between Airport Road and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Most homes are standalone family villas on their own plots, in areas such as Al Qubaisat and along Al Saada Street, with compounds including Mushrif Gardens, Palm Oasis Villas and Al Yasat Compound. Umm Al Emarat Park and Mushrif Mall sit within the district.
Mature trees and large gardens give Mushrif more shade than most of the island, but they also bring leaf litter, pollen and birds. Irrigation keeps garden walls damp at the base, and dust from open plots and building work settles on terraces and in AC filters. Mushrif villas are often large family homes with majlis rooms, more than one kitchen and staff accommodation. The job is planned by zone so the family can keep using part of the house, and upholstery, carpets and curtains are cleaned on site where the fabric allows.
Standalone villas are reached directly, with the owner or house manager present for the first visit. Compounds such as Al Yasat and Palm Oasis have gate security, so the resident registers the crew in advance. Approvals for exterior work are identified at the site visit and we prepare the paperwork.

Questions about deep cleaning before a new baby in Al Mushrif
What does deep cleaning before a new baby include?
Before a baby comes home the house is deep cleaned with fragrance free products and finished several days ahead, so the rooms are aired well before the arrival. The work includes fragrance free products agreed with you before the visit; nursery, main bedroom and AC grilles HEPA vacuumed first; surfaces rinsed with clean water after any cleaning product.
When should the clean be booked before the due date?
Two to three weeks ahead suits most families. It leaves time to air the home, wash bedding and set up the nursery afterwards, and it allows for an early arrival. If painting or flooring work is planned, book the clean after that work is complete.
Which products do you use in a home expecting a newborn?
Fragrance free and pH neutral cleaners wherever the surface allows, with steam and microfibre doing much of the work. Descalers and degreasers are still needed in bathrooms and kitchens, and those are rinsed off with clean water. The list is shown to you first.
How much does deep cleaning before a new baby cost in Al Mushrif?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size of the property and number of rooms; condition, and how long since the last deep clean. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides deep cleaning before a new baby in Al Mushrif?
The MELLS provides deep cleaning before a new baby in Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 58 656 3001.
How long does deep cleaning before a new baby take?
Typically 4 to 8 hours for most apartments, and 1 to 2 days for most villas with a crew of four to six. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Is sofa, carpet or mattress cleaning included?
Soft furnishings are quoted as optional extras so you only pay for what you need. Most clients add them to the same visit because the crew and machines are already on site.
What is the difference between deep cleaning and regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning keeps visible surfaces tidy. Deep cleaning removes the build up that regular cleaning cannot reach, including grease behind appliances, limescale on glass and chrome, dust on high ledges and inside cabinets, and sand packed into window tracks. It uses machines, specialist chemistry and a larger supervised crew.
How often should a home in Al Mushrif be deep cleaned?
Twice a year suits most homes in Abu Dhabi. Homes near the coast, near construction or with pets, young children or allergy sufferers benefit from a deep clean every three to four months.
How do your crews get access to Al Mushrif?
Standalone villas are reached directly, with the owner or house manager present for the first visit. Compounds such as Al Yasat and Palm Oasis have gate security, so the resident registers the crew in advance. Approvals for exterior work are identified at the site visit and we prepare the paperwork.
Can you clean the water tank at my Mushrif villa?
Yes. Older villas often have roof or ground tanks with sediment and scale. The tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled, and the work is planned so the household is without water for as short a time as possible.
How do I choose a company for deep cleaning before a new baby in Al Mushrif?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (14 Point Standard signed by the supervisor, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Al Mushrif arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
