What is included
False ceiling and gypsum works for homes, offices and shops: new ceilings, partitions, light coves, access panels and repairs after leaks. In Dubai the ceiling void carries the AC ducts, drain lines and wiring, so most ceiling damage starts with a leak or with a panel cut open for access. We find and stop the cause first, then frame, board, joint and paint so the repair blends with the ceiling around it.

How we carry out soundproof partitions
Sound is stopped by mass, by a cavity filled with absorbent material and by airtightness. So the track is bedded on a bead of acoustic sealant, studs go in, and mineral wool slabs are friction fitted between them from floor to head. Each side takes two layers of dense board, the second with its joints offset from the first. Where more is needed, the two faces are built on separate rows of studs so vibration cannot pass straight through. The perimeter is sealed and sockets on opposite faces are staggered.
Most partitions that disappoint stop at the false ceiling. Sound climbs over the top through the open void and comes down in the next room, and no amount of insulation in the wall will change that. The wall has to run to the slab, or the void needs a barrier above it. AC ducts shared between two rooms carry voices as well. A door with a gap beneath undoes the rest. The site visit looks above the ceiling, traces the ducts and asks what kind of noise is the problem, since speech and bass need different treatment.

Will a soundproof partition block all noise?
No wall blocks everything. A well built double layer partition taken up to the slab makes normal speech next door hard to follow and takes the edge off television sound. Deep bass and impact noise travel through the floor and structure and need more than a partition.
Can an existing wall be upgraded?
Often, yes. A second layer of dense board can be added to one face, or a separate lining frame with mineral wool is built a small distance off the wall. The second option does more and takes a few centimetres from the room. Gaps at the ceiling are dealt with at the same time.
